Superstar Jim Carrey reunites with director Tom Shadyac (Ace Ventura; Liar, Liar) in this clever comedy hit. Bruce Nolan (Carrey) is a successful, popular television reporter in Buffalo, N.Y. He also has a beautiful girlfriend, Grace (Jennifer Aniston), who loves him. Bruce would seem to have it all, but instead, he is discontented with almost everything in his life. After a particularly bad day, perhaps the worst of his life, Bruce angrily rages against God – and God decides to respond. Appearing in human form (Morgan Freeman), God endows Bruce with divine powers, and challenges him to take on the ultimate job in the cosmos to see if he can do any better.
