David and Linda Howard’s suppressed wish for a more exciting life style is given an unexpected high level of realisation when David is fired from his top executive job. They liquidate their assets and head across America in a motor home. But the cherished dream of freedom and the youthful fantasy of ‘dropping out’ of society, proves not to be, when they find their executive talents out of place in the insecure world of casual labour and increasing poverty.
